Building Hope ... Building Syria
Over a decade of humanitarian impact, and a renewed model for community recovery.
Orient for Human Relief & Development
Orient for Human Relief & Development (OHRD) is a Syrian non-governmental, non-profit humanitarian and development organization, established in Türkiye in 2012 in response to the humanitarian crisis in Syria. OHRD has built extensive operational experience delivering both emergency response and development-oriented programming across northern Syria and Türkiye.
Today, OHRD operates through a renewed institutional model focused on Syria's recovery and reconstruction — bridging urgent humanitarian needs with long-term stability through locally-led solutions aligned with international standards. Our work supports conflict-affected communities in health, education, protection, and livelihoods, while contributing to the recovery and sustainable development of Syrian society.
"We believe that the greatest investment is in people — and that true impact is measured by the hope we restore and the future we build together."
